Equal Portions
Equal Portions is a love letter to food and its connection to the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia). When our team thinks about food, we think of connection, warmth and fuel. It is both a necessity and a central piece of our lives. The different aspects of Equal Portions focus on these pieces. Each episode we focus on food justice, the story of food, individuals within the food space and local DMV music.

Food Justice
This segment focuses on discussions such as Food insecurity, food deserts, agricultural practices, food banks, food waste, food sovereignty, food security, food system, workers' rights, and resource distribution. While also examining current events related to thee above.
The Story of Food
This segment focuses on food that is indigenous or culturally relevant to the DMV. We explore how these foods have came to have a bond with the DMV.
Interviews
This segment focuses on discussions with individuals within the food space. From farmers, to activists, to program directors ,to chefs, we welcome all individuals involved with food.
Local Music
Throughout our show we break up or segments with music from local DMV artists. There is a wealth of talent in the area and we pride ourselves on being able to showcase these artists
